THE unrefined reset
I’m excited to be facilitating a 10-week, six-session group coaching program where we practice unrefined eating in an intentional, supportive way.
My program draws from evidence-based practices, including mindful eating, as well as coaching in the Mayo Clinic model.
This program is a chance to try on unrefined eating for a while, in a conscious and consistent way, and experience its benefits.
specifics
We’re working with a simple template for what I call minimalist meal prep, and taking a break from refined and processed foods. We’ll reference the Harvard Healthy Plate, and our portions will align with those in The Mayo Clinic Diet.
I provide support for meal planning, drawing from my training from the Dan Abraham Healthy Living Center, and the core principles of the True Health Initiative, but you do the work.
To help us rewire, we’ll be reading The Hunger Habit by Judson Brewer ($20 on Amazon) and sharing our experience in group sessions. Brewer’s book provides a framework for building mindfulness and changing one’s relationship to food.
group sessions
Except as noted, meetings are Saturdays from 12-2 at C-Suite at 1111 E. Tennessee Street. I will connect with you by phone before our first session.
I’m excited that one session includes a chef’s table -style meal prep class with lovely and brilliant Jessica Bright, next door at historic Briarcliffe Cottage. Our current schedule is:
July 20
July 28 1-2:30 pm
August 10 12-3 pm, Chef Jessica Bright
September 7
September 28
October 12
We will prioritize confidentiality and commit to group guidelines on July 20. Between sessions, we will connect by group text and the Healthie app (free). I will recommend additional apps totalling $6/mo, no commitment.
program FEE
Because this is my first round with this program, I’ll be seeking your feedback and flexibility, and the nonrefundable fee is only $300, payable in full to reserve your space. You should budget an additional $50 for books and other resources. I’m offering a significant discount to current clients and those referred by healthcare providers with whom I coordinate. This program should also qualify for FSA account reimbursement in many cases.
important to know
Please note that as a Mayo Clinic -certified wellness coach and certified health coach, my training in nutrition is solid, but it is not at the level of a registered dietitian. Since I am not an RD, I cannot provide specialized nutritional intervention for medical conditions.
So, if you are under the current, direct care of a medical doctor for a diagnosed disease or medical condition (other than obesity or weight loss), in which nutrition intervention has been prescribed, I cannot provide services to you.
