Start fresh.

A gifted teacher of mine, Jamie Friend, explains wellness coaching in this article.

We all have milestones we want to reach, challenges we’re striving to overcome, ideas that need a road map and times we feel stuck. Partnering with a wellness coach can unlock your potential and set you on a path to thriving.

There is growing evidence that cognitive behavioral coaching can produce measurable gains in resiliency and wellbeing for most who engage with it.

I partner with people mostly one-on-one. I coach via BetterUp and I also practice independently. Once in a blue moon, I host group sessions where we focus on a specific aspect of wellness, or work our way through books on movement, unrefined eating, or the brain science of behavior change.

As a former communications specialist for the Library of Congress, I’m passionate about the transformative potential of books experienced in community, and I weave that into my coaching. Feedback from clients is here.

wellness workshops

Increasingly important is anything that can slow us down and bring us into a common framework. Which is what the Bookshelf in Thomasville, Georgia, does so beautifully. It has been a couple of years since I hosted a workshop; this one was a favorite size and setting.

group sessions

I periodically bring like-minded people together in a supportive space to replenish through reading, conversation, connection and action. Group sessions are an affordable way to experience coaching.

join my unrefined reset in late june

Join me for a revitalizing, 10-week, six-session small group coaching program where we practice unrefined eating in a consistent, intentional way.

My program draws from evidence-based practices, including mindful eating, as well as coaching in the Mayo Clinic model.

Sessions are 90 minutes on Saturday mornings, starting June 29. Half are at my quiet and light filled office in Tallahassee. We will meet via video for two or three sessions.

I’m excited that one longer session includes a chef’s table -style meal prep experience next door at Briarcliffe Cottage, in the kitchen of talented Chef Jessica Bright.

Please note that as a Mayo Clinic -certified wellness coach and certified health coach, I have training in nutrition, but I am not a registered dietitian and I cannot provide specialized nutritional intervention for medical conditions.

So if you are under the current, direct care of a medical doctor for a diagnosed disease or medical condition (other than obesity or weight loss), in which nutrition intervention has been prescribed, I cannot provide services to you.

The fee for this program is $300 and I’m offering a significant discount for current clients or those referred by a healthcare provider. Contact me for details and to reserve your spot.
